Just got word that Pinetop Perkins passed away.
Born in 1913, he released his last album in 2010.
That's not a typo.
Elton John, Billy Joel and Gregg Allman all credit him with showing them the way around the keyboard
and he influenced countless thousands of others.
Here he is as a sideman with Muddy Waters.
